What is Reflexology Lymph Drainage?

Taught by the inspirational Sally Kay It is a specific way of performing Reflexology, using specialist moves that target the lymphatic system in particular.  Unlike our cardiovascular system, our lymphatics rely solely on bodily movement for the fluid to move. It plays a key role in our body’s immune system, so targeting the key areas of the feet corresponding to the lymphatics, while also focusing on the area of concern. It is a very effective way of stimulating the body’s own response to reduce swelling, clear out toxins and blockages and boost our ability to fight infection.

Reflexology Lymph Drainage can be used to treat other conditions aside from Secondary Lymphoedema.  The key difference between Massage Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology Lymph Drainage is that instead of a massage or remedial therapist massaging the area of the body affected by fluid and swelling which can be sore and painful, especially after surgery, Reflexology Lymph Drainage is discreet and focuses solely on the feet by encouraging the flow of fluid through the manipulation of lymphatic reflex points.

After just one treatment, clients experience an immediate release of tension and heaviness and in the area of oedema and you can often see the difference in swelling.

However, a series of 4-5 Reflexology Lymph Drainage sessions will record the greatest difference and improvement in feeling and condition of the affected area.  Clients report an overwhelming feeling of well-being and the treatments will start to have a longer-lasting effect over time.
